A one-year (renewable) post-doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Prof. Jean-Michel Sallenave, team ‘Immune signaling in cancer and infection’, in the Centre for Inflammation Research (CRI, INSERM U1149, Faculté de Médecine, Hopital Bichat, Paris).
Successful candidates will have recently completed a PhD in either Biochemistry/Cellular Biology/Microbiology/Immunology and will have in-depth expertise in either cellular/molecular biology/microbiology immunological techniques. Further training will also be available on site.
The projects aim to study, in the context of cystic fibrosis, host-Pseudomonas aeruginosa molecular and cellular interactions in pulmonary inflammation in vitro and in vivo.
Specifically, the project will evaluate the role of bacterial virulence factors and that of innate and adaptive immunity in vaccine protocols against P.aeruginosa.
